The heat index & humidity in Alabama was so bad yestereday that I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walkin'!

In Nashville it is 45º and raining. No, wait, that was six months ago. It's hot, though not SLC hot, and the cat is being chased by a short guy in a chef's hat. :lol:

This is supposed to be our hottest day this year with a high of 97º and a heat index of 105º to 110º. I'm here at my desk with a fan blowing directly on me and the temp is 74.4º. Sweet!

We had a heat index of 105 Tuesday and yesterday. 103 today. That's pretty darn hot. I hate this weather, you can't get anything done.

well, i have to tell yall..... ive been playing a mind game with myself today and even tho i know im doing it, its working!!!

i took down the two 30-gal containers of fall decor. i opened them. i didnt put up the decorations, but the fall potpourri and candles filled this apt. it smells like fall!

my bf was over here tonight and after about 15 mins says: i dont know what the deal is, but i feel like i ought to put a jacket on b4 i go outside!! i feel like its fall or something!

i hatd to tell him why. he already thinks im looney!!

but i am tellin YALL, it really works!! sense memory is a powerful thing!

The past couple of days it has been 101 and very humid. Today is supposed to be 97 with the front coming through this afternoon. I can't wait! I know it's not going to cool down to where I like it, but I'll take 88 any day of 101!

I know what you mean about your senses bringing back memory. If my wife wants to remind me to do laundry, she drapes an old sock across my nose while I'm sleeping. Works like a champ! :lol:

It has been nice here in California the last 2 days. But somehow it fooled us. Its like 75 but not lacking in the humidity. I dont mind the heat but the humidity for more than 3 to 5 days is overboard to me.

But hey I am native Californian. We Californians freak out if the weather goes 2 degrees either way past 70 degrees. 68 is to cold and 72 is well lets say we are not pleasant people with 72.
