What's a dieter to do with Christmas food? Is there anything -- besides fruitcake -- that can be eaten and still be festive at Christmas?

Hey, if there is a medical need, I understand. Christmas comes but once a year though.

Who can eat fruitcake anyway? It's like a compost pile in a cake. You're only sure about 80% of it; the rest could be anything. Is there a brand that is better than all the rest or is homemade as good as it comes? 8)

I actually like fruitcake!
As for Splenda cookies, I've made flourless peanut butter cookies that uses Splenda. They are soooo good. I don't normally like to bake with Splenda, though. Most things are better with just plain old sugar.
As far as trans fat and all of that gunk, I try to stay away from packaged goodies and make my own. At least I know what goes in it and I know there isn't any transfat, hydrogenated oils, and high fructose corn syrup.

I can handle SPlenda baked good, or some nutflour breads but I refuse to waiver on the full fat turkey gravy
