I know many would laugh at such a question. Typically in England, Europe and the United States celebrate Christmas on December 25. But I know some countries like Uruguay and Australia celebrate Christmas during what would be summer in the Northern Hemisphere. But in the Southern Hemispshere they celebrate Christmas during there coldest months which would be summer to us.
So what country are you from and when do you typically celebrate your Christmas?

I celebrate the 25th of every month, but then again, I'm weird. Seriously, Christmas is a year round thing for me.

lpstong: Typically, we celebrate Christmas on both Christmas eve and Christmas day as well...Dec, 24th and 25th. But as the others have said I have to agree, it is really a year-round celebration in my heart as I am sure it is for you. But the festivities begin on Christmas eve. Actually, I guess the real beginning of the Christmas season kicks off on Thanksgiving evening for our family. What about you?

I celebrate Christmas several times in December. The night after the last day of finals with my friends down at my university. The 19th or 20th of December with my friends from home. The 24 and 25 of December with my family.

That's great! I don't think we could ever celebrate Christmas too much. Our Christmas party at work is December 10th. I will be heading to MD for Thanksgiving so I know there will be come Christmas festivities then. Then there's the actual day of Christmas.

Christmas has so many special traditions and events that it's more a season than a day. I celebrate Christmas from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day, although the gift exchange is on the 25th of December.
In the days of in-laws, even the gift exchange was extended to the 24th so that extended family could visit, but also the younger families could establish their own traditions with their children at home.
But, to answer the question, I celebrate Christmas on the 25th, while spending the other 364 days of the year anticipating, planning, and preparing for Christmas.
As Scrooge said, "I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year."

Hard to get everyone together ON the 25th as family is spread out all over the country. Me and the Mrs have ours Christmas day, at her folks Christmas eve, and at my folks whenever. Sometimes we don't get together on that side of the family until a weekend after Christmas.

Always been the 25th for us, as well. My roomie's family always opened on Christmas Eve and then had Christmas Day to relax and enjoy....I just can't imagine not opening gifts on Christmas Day.

Sometimes I feel slightly guilty, because my roomie has changed her gift-opening tradtion to suit me, but I guess that just makes her a better person. I tend to be unbending in that aspect of the holiday season. :-?

She always gets a stocking crammed to the tippy-top and then some, but I do appreciate her willingness to conform to my tradition. :P

Hello.... In finland we have pikku joulu which starts from the end of October finishing around beginning of january..... Pikku joulu is little christmas and its basicly office /firm/school/friends little christmas togeather........
For us in our family we dont start even thinking about or decorating our place until after Finnish inderpendance day (6.12)..... We have our christmas (all of Finnland) on 24th December or christmas eve.......
On the christmas eve an older member of the family will go and dress up as santa in a brown or grey suit then knock on the door. As soon as santa walks throuh the door and says HELLO the children will start singing the santa song, " joulu pukki, joulu pukki". This song and tradition has continued for over a hundred years, for me its based on the children and the magic you get when you see their little faces light up......
speak soon.....

I celebrate it on the 25th and sometimes the 24th. One time I celebrated it during the 22nd but then again, I like christmas all year around and people stare at me weird cause I sing Christmas songs in the summer.
