Who has seen this movie? Will Ferrell plays Buddy the Elf. Ed Asner plays Santa Clause, James Caan plays Buddy's Father, Bob Newhart plays Buddy's adoptive elf father.

I find this movie pretty hilarious. Especially when Ferrell makes it to New York City to find his biological father. I laugh real hard when Ferrell tells everyone at the department store (where he works the Christmas holiday rush as Santas helper) and tells everyone how really really knows Santa Clause - the way he plays this moment is just to hilarious.

Overall experience of watching this movie is quite enjoyable. Great to watch with little children and adults as well.

I really liked the movie, especially the bow to Rankin Bass in the set design department. I wasn't really comfortable with Buddy's desire to hold hands with his dad all the time. Seems like he could have been innocent without being creepy. His choice of breakfast foods was nauseating. Just the other night I saw Jake, the boy on Two and a Half Men, eat basically the same thing for breakfast, or at least attempt to.
