As Minister of all things chattable and official European Envoy to the My Merry Christmas Empire (at least that's what my blurb says), I'd like to cordially invite all our members on this side of the pond to our themed chats which are held approx. 3 times a month.
For those of you who are new on the scene and those of you who have been around for a while but otherwise engaged during the summer, let me share the theory and August's itinerary.
Each chat is held at 8pm GMT. This is so we can participate - there is a duplicate chat held later the same day on for our North American friends (who also join in at this time, but it's afternoon for them) but unless you're really a night owl, it's at 1am GMT!! The days vary between Sundays and Thursdays mostly and we cover a vast range of topics. To date, we've chatted about Magic Elves and how they can help or hinder your Christmas plans (!), organising a Christmas notebook/calendar to help you take the hassle and stress out of the season by planning in advance and Halloween party themes and books suitable for yourself and your own little monsters!
There are 3 themed chats planned for August.
The first is on Sunday August 10th (8pm GMT) and will cover Autumn Crafts, centring on things we can make for decor or to give as gifts
The second is on Thursday August 21st (8pm GMT) and will be featuring discussions on Memory Keepers. This will focus on ways to preserve family memories such as scrapbooking, Christmas Journals etc.
The last for August is on Sunday August 31st (8pm GMT) and is Organising for Christmas; Holiday Cleaning/Prep Plans. Can't even begin to tell you how useful this one's going to be so pop along and pick up a few tips to make the season less panic-ridden!!
If you click on the calendar on the bar at the top, and then go to the relevant date, you have the option of setting up a reminder for yourself when you click on the particular event. You can be sent a message up to 3 days beforehand which will then ensure you're at your computer, dogs walked and dishes washed by the start time!!!!
Looking forward to seeing old friends and new in the Christmas Cupboard - everybody's welcome!!!
