Tell us about your favourite christmas memories/fav xmas year?

How about we all tell each other about our favourite christmas and why? This may have been done before....

My favorite Christmas was 7 years ago, on Christmas eve, when my husband proposed marriage to me. He started off with Godiva Chocolate when he picked me up for our "date", then took me for a romantic dinner, then back to his place where he got out champagne and got down on his knee and presented me with a diamond ring and asked me to marry him. 2 months later, we flew to Las Vegas and married.

My favourite has to be my daughter's first christmas, in 2004...it was extra special because it was also the last time all the family was together.

My favorite was my first Christmas in California in 1983. I was there as an au pair, looking after three children. It was my first encounter with Santa and all the American traditions such as hanging stockings and writing letters to Santa and putting milk and cookies out on Christmas Eve. It was very different from what I was used to. It got me hooked ever since !

The first Christmas morning when my daughter was old enough to run into our bedroom and yell, "Santa was here, Santa was here, wake up, wake up!!!" Two years after that, it was even more special when both our kids started to do that :smile:
