I noticed that some people have unique avatars that were uploaded. I was wondering how this was done.

If you go into the 'User CP' (top left of the forums - User CP/Forum Rules/Blogs/FAQs etc,.) there's a couple of options on the left, 'Edit Profile Pic' (under 'Your Profile') and 'Edit Avatar' (under 'Settings & Options'). You can upload pics in there (for the profile and avatar respectively!
However, I think there might be a number of posts you have to have posted before those options become live. So join in a few discussions and they should appear!!! ;)

Thank you! I think I do remember something about having to post a certain amount to be able to do certain things.

The title of this thread caught my eye since I was wondering when my own avatar would show up. Apparently, 25 is the magic number for lots more goodies (such as groups, avatars, & more).

Count back 8 or 9 post;s to "Why Christmas" and that will explain how to get your avatar. :rudolph:

I have had an avatar of my choosing picked since I joined a year ago, and it didn't show up even after 25 posts. Though, today it is working . . . whoo hoo! :rudolph:

I noticed that some people here have animated avatars, something I've never been able to make work. When I try it, the avatar is frozen at one of the images. Could someone give me simple steps on how to do this? I'm using a Mac computer, if that's any difference.
This is the animated avatar I'd like to use. (http://www.iconator.com/download.php?IconID=1732147)
