Diana and family are OK too!!!! We are still getting a lot of wind here! Luckily it turned East in enough time to avoid hitting me/Orlando directly. Whew!
We are under tornado warnings because of the rotation of the storm. One hit about an hour from me today damaging 51 homes, making 9 of them uninhabitable. So, we are not quite out of the woods yet entirely..
I appreciate everyone's concern! It sure means a whole lot. I always have to ride these hurricanes out with just me and my kids. My husband is the master electrician at the largest hospital in Orlando and is REQUIRED to report to work the day before a storm is supposed to hit and cannot leave until THEY release him. Usually it's 2-3 days after a storm. I do hate it, but I do understand. After all, it's a hospital. They cannot be without power for even a split second anywhere in the hospital. He must make sure that the backup generators do their job and kick on in the event of a power outage. He stays on standby basically. The money is nice since they have to pay him 24 hours per day until he is released.
BUT....I still would rather him be home with us!! The kids just started school yesterday and already had today off. :)
Again, thanks for your concern, thoughts and prayers!!
