I want to join the ornament exchange this year. But I'm going to have to wait. We're possibly moving this week!! Moving to Lafayette, LA. Anybody else from Lafayette OR Louisiana?
I am so excited!! I don't know yet if we'll be in a house or an apartment. But whichever it is, I look forward to decorating for Christmas. I don't know about yall, but whenever I move into a new house, the first thing I think of is decorating for Christmas!!!:treeguy:

Exactly!!! When I bought my house I walked through it wondering where I could put Christmas trees and other decorations. Good luck in the move and enjoy Christmas wherever you are at.

Same here ! I bought my house last year and pictured my decorations and options for x-mas lights etc before even buying it ! I planned my move so it wouldn't interfere with the Christmas months. Nothing more fun than decorating for Christmas the first time in a new house !!

Go on - sign up. If you're moving this week, that gives you plenty of time to get the basics organised in your new place and I'm sure that you'll still be doing Christmas wherever you are (buying presents and putting up decorations). You've loads of time to get organised as you don't have to send anything until the end of October.
You know you want to...........!!!!
PS
How can you not know if you're moving this week and where you'll be living??? If you posted the answer to this somewhere else, point me in the direction - think I missed it!!

Hello I am Lydia, Faithmom6s daughter.
We don't really know anything yet cause finding a house is hard down here. Plus a lot of other people do credit. We know that we are moving to Lafeyette, but we just don't know what street or anything yet. Plus dad is always too busy at work and he doesn't have time to go see anyone bout an apartment or house. We only have one car. But we are getting around to doing things. I am excited bout us moving too. Just saying. I had to quit my job too, but let me tell ya, where we are moving is WORTH it. There are so many job oppertunities here. PLUS I will be learning how to drive soon. Excitement has entered my brain! LOL :D:D BTW I love the smilies on here.

Lydia, climb on board with mom and enjoy the company. Either way, even if you have to get a P.O. Box the ornament exchange is so cool. This will be my first one and the Christmas Card exchange is just as cool. Whenever you get your new house, apartment, condo, tent what ever, Christmas will be wonderful because you will be together and you'll be driving and possibly have a new job. How cool is that?

I love the Christmas Ornament Exchange.
I, like Lydia, don't know exactly if we'll have a mailbox or a PO Box or what!
I'm just a tad bit anxious to get settled so we can participate in this event for sure!!
It's all exciting!!
I guess if it comes down to it, we can use my husband's work address!! I'll have to ask him and see if that'd be okay!!cheesy

I can't wait, my husband just told me that I'll have to have another tree for all the ornaments that I will be recieving. What a cool idea, another tree for me. What a darling man.....

One reason that we don't know when we're moving...
1. Our credit is shot from our younger days and some bad financial decisions we made. When I say "shot"...I mean...depressing shot.
2. We're trying to get our money together for all the deposits and rent, etc.
So, those are some of the reasons we don't know when we're moving ...
I'm not trying to be a "downer" or anything...but finances have been really sad lately.
But we are making it. And I just know things are going to get better!! cheesy
