I know it's early but Penney's had a good deal with free shipping and I needed to replace a very old tree that was an awesome tree in it's day.

I'd rather see a tree before I buy but if I wait until the stores have them on display, I know I will pay more.

LOL, now when it comes I will be tempted to put it up, ummmm could put it up and not decorate it till later, nope it would be toooooooooo tempting.

Merry Christmas!

You could just say you wanted more greenery in the house. Bringing the outdoors in, lol.

I was tempted today to bring down all of our Christmas lights and decorations when I was getting the Halloween stuff out, lol.

I have a retro silver tree with color wheel that I want to put up to see what it's going to look like and maybe get other ideas for it. But the husband said no...... I'm glad you got a new tree, not let the fun begin...

That's awesome! Is it a pre-lit tree?

Yes it is pre-lit, Annette. Clear lights.

I'm getting a new tree this year. But we're not going with pre-lit. We purchased our last tree -- a beautiful flocked tree -- pre-lit and we had a Dickens of a time (pun intended) keeping the pre-lit lights in working order. Working with that flocking made it worse. So many times we wish we had strung the lights ourselves so we swore that our next tree would not have lights.

It is getting hard and harder to find a tree that isn't pre-lit!

We'd really prefer to get a real tree but living in the desert here doesn't give us that option. It is a tradition I really miss.
