I think I have looked at it every year & thought "I am NOT spending 9 bucks on a magazine!" But this year we were on our way home from Lake Cumberland (5 hour drive) & I was desperate for SOMETHING to make the ride go fast, so I bought it. Now I am going to have to buy it every year! Lol! I thought it was very good. I loved reading about the little country stores that sell homemade jams, or breads, etc. I want to work at one of those places!!!

Holiday - I ended up buying this magazine on Wednesday and I have kept it in my tote all week to read! It's a great buy. I recommend everyone pick it up...
I am definitely going to make some of the cookies doughs and freeze them for baking in December - heavenly sugar cookies, orange butter cookies, maraschino cherry squares, and the lemon cookies all have doughs that are freezeable! :)
I am going to try to make the jumbo chocolate filled cupcakes this weekend. So yummy looking!
And I am trying to decide which of the "gifts to make" to do for my friends and family this holiday.

I made her recipe for gooey butter cake about a year ago, and it was so good! I look forward to her holiday shows. She always has very good recipes and they are not to elaborate either, which I like:)

My daughter gave me a Christmas subscription last year to her magazine. She does put out a very colorful and high quality magazine. My only complaint with Paula is I cannot make her recipes because of all the sugar and butter. Some I have improvised making them a little less fattening. I use to watch Paula's Party every Friday night but haven't seen this on anymore. Anyone know why? The last show I saw was her with Michelle Obama in the kitchen with her. I didn't like her getting into a political adjenda before the elections and wrote her a letter asking if she was bringing on Sarah or Cindy McCain to balance it all out. Never heard back. I have backed off Paula ever since. But Paula is a true southern gal and always love her down to earth personality. Who could not love Paula Deen.
