I am having 2 problems with the forums.

- When using Firefox, the buttons on the advanced posting menu don't work for me. (change color, Bold text, add hyperlink, etc)
Also when I was posting, even if I add paragraph spaces, all the text shows up as one huge block. (I edited the posts in IE to fix)

- I tried to post a longer story twice now, (yesterday and the day before). Both times I thought that my post went up fine, but now it doesn't show up on the boards. My other posts show up however.
Last night I was using IE to post.

help?

I have been using IE when I want to make posts. For just regular reading I use FF. I don't know where my disappearing post went though. =(

I really hate that we can't post with FF on here. I could do like you and switch back and forth ,but I just use IE for MMC and FF for the other site's I'm on .

Britney, Ms Speedy Elf, have you tried turning java off? (not javascript java) It's a tick box in the 'content' tab of the options/prefs.

Why Christmas ,thank you for the suggestion in turning off java. I'm now using FF on MMC with no trouble.

Hurrah!!!!! So it's the countdown that's causing the probs. Funny how such a (relatively) small bit of the site can do strange things...

I'm glad you're up and running on FF. Having Java off shouldn't affect your surfing much as people don't tend to use java that much now.
