Have you folks ever seen the lights at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville? They cover every tree and bush and it is beautiful. I don't know how they do it, but it looks as if they have lights going out every branch and twig on the trees. They have netted lights for the big bushes and certain of the trees. In fact, I just saw a news report this week that said they had started putting the lights up already. It takes an awful long time, I imagine. They charge $10 a car to park in their lot, but you can park over at the mall and walk for five minutes and you're there for free! Lots of Nashville Christmas pics here:  :) http://www.pbase.com/deadelvis/xmas03

Yeah, I saw the news report and debated whether to post it. I had a feeling it was a commercial-just-give-me-your-money type of thing.
For what it is worth, they have started doing lights on the trees at Temple Square here in Salt Lake.
Those are free to see. (that's why the crowds are so big).

So, I could spend $10 to park at Opryland or fly to SLC for a couple hundred bucks. I'm staying here. Surely I can see the Temple Square lights online, right?

Looks like a very festive scene....needs snow though. You would think if they are going all out with that many lights they could haul in some snow. Then they could charge $15 to park and $35 to pull you out if yer stuck.

As soon as you walk away from your car they'll crank up the drift-o-matic and snow you in.
