I normally pack my cookies in a cute tupperware container with lots tissue paper...and BREAD to help keep them fresh. I used to send my grandma in ohio sugar cookies and snickerdoodles. She laughed at the bread but they stayed fresh for the 3 days it was being shipped.

I send cookies to Iraq a lot. I use the ziplic plastic containers and use bread in them as well. They are received and taste just fine....and it takes about a week to 2 weeks to get there....depending what time of year it is sent.
