If you like good graphics, this one is for you. I am amazed at how much better the animation is now than just a few years ago. Ouside of that, though, I probably wouldn't waste a full price ticket. It starts really slowly, so slowly that I was thinking about leaving. Towards the end it picks up nicely. Don't leave as soon as it's over because it's not. It will jumpstart your fall mood, though. I am being intentionally vague because most of you probably haven't seen it yet. Out watching Ricky Bobby, no doubt! Let me know how that one went. 8)

Finally just saw this, digital animation is really amazing and I enjoy these movies for that if not the storyline.

I haven't seen monster house yet but my friends have and they said it was so dumb and stupid it was funny. I don't know if I want to see it or not. it looked a little good in the prieviews and it looked kinda funny but it didn't look right for me.

my hubby and I rented it tonight and watched it after the kids went to bed. It is REALLY slow in the beginning. We thought it was one of the most predictable movies we have seen in a long time. Not horrible but not worth the price of renting it.

Wow, between my idea that it wasn't worth paying for at the theatre and your idea that it isn't worth renting, the only way anyone is going to see it is at the gym!

I think it is as good or better than Polar Express
