In my job, I travel quite a bit - including internationally. I make it a point to always try the local foods. I always try everything twice. And there are only two things that come to mind that make me gag to even think about.

The first is a dish my mother used to make me eat. I absolutely hate it and sat at the dinner table until 11:00 at night because I refused to eat it. What was it? Cream Chip Beef on Toast. Ugggh! http://www.clausnet.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/yucky.gif Revolting!

The other is a dish I ate in China. I had a lot of exotic and authentic foods in while I was there. For the most part I enjoyed every dish except one: 1000 Year Old Eggs. Bleech! Just thinking of the taste is enough to make me sick. Mind you I have had it two times! I have that rule about trying everything twice.

Erm..

A food here that is called Marmite I hate that stuff, but it is a love it or hate type food. Also Cauliflower and pickled beetroot.

I dislike marmite spread but I love the marmite crisps? weird!
I really hate the vegetables in chinese food, like the water chestnuts, bamboo and stuff lol

My brother is the same he hates Marmite but liked the crisps, do they still sell them? I havent seen those in the shops for a while I dont think :)

I'm not too sure my mum got them in a big mix bag with different flavour crisps
I think they just bring them back every so often, not 100% sure though

Pesto sauce....this green italian sauce for spaghetti and whatever sauce....I don´t konw....I hate it....especially cos I want my sauces to be red somehow...:D...I´ll try to think of others....

oh yeah....it´s a German dish called Königsberger Klopse....they looked like dumplins...but just thinking of them makes me want throw up...I just tried it once....and never will try it again

I can pretty much tolerate anything although if I had my 'druthers, I druther avoid raisins, peas and a casserole that my mother concocted - nope, that's not a druther that's a down-right run a mile

Don't know where she got the idea from - probably the side of a Campbells tin - anyway it involved fish sticks and a condensed shrimp soup.

Nuff said..........

no offence, but yeah, nuff said! it sounds scary..... lol!

You don´t like tomatoes? wow...I love them...but if someone really hates em...it infact makes life hard....You eat no catchup, italian tomato napoli sauce? or bolognese sauce?....I can´t imagine living without it

oh i like ketchup!

couldn't eat italian tomato sauce, if i eat italian i go for a cheesy or creamy sauce. i make my own bolognaise and don't add tomatoes, i just add the juice from tinned tomatoes, i don't mind that.

sounds delicious! when you say beans, do you mean baked beans (like heinz?) did you do a full chicken or legs and thighs?

what's the recipe for that lemonade?

I mean baked beans and corn (not in one piece) and a whole chicken, that was cut into half before being eatn....a whole chicken would be quite a lot with the sidedishes.

I´ll have to figure out what type of meassuring system You guys got for water....then ic an tell Ya

haha....reading that alone makes me lose a few pounds....it really sounds quite...eeeeeehm....downright nasty...:D....I share You raisin hatin, tho....I was never able to understand how people can really like em
