We welcome you to another exciting Monday here at ClausNET.com. It's Monday, October 6th, 2008 --- and our Monday Night Chat is a few hours away. In the meantime, I'd just like to comment that we've all been either busy or unavailable --- but that's mostly because some of us have been preparing to attend this year's session at the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan. Those of you who are already packed and ready to head out there, good luck to you all! Tom and Holly Valent are great Santa teachers; the next three days you spend with them will make plenty of difference in how you work, look, and perform as Santa.

As for your humble Elf Without Jingles (that's me), I'm now looking into doing volunteer work as Santa; thus far, there have been two local non-profits here in Manhattan who have expressed any positive interest in my volunteering as a Santa (note that I'm working on the idea that the word to emphasize is "volunteer").

My hope, of course, is that, with the help of my new and slightly modified Santa accessories, I can pull off the assignment successfully. This would, of course, depend on which of the two non-profits gets my services.

Nonetheless, I've talked enough for now. If something good comes up, and things go according to plan, I'll let you all know.
