Hi Guys,
I have a ton of Christmas balls. I'm only putting up one full size tree this year so I won't be using allot of them for that purpose. Last year I filled some bowls with them. I also decorated a couple of wreaths with them and scattered them around other decorations. Was wondering if anyone had any other ideas on what to do with these.
Thanks so much,
Susan

Just a thought, do you have any outside trees?

I have seen tinsel strung tightly with ornament balls hung at regular intervals along it as a window or cubicle decoration. The ball pulls the tinsel down into sort of a swag effect. Silver tinsel and shiny red glass balls looks elegant.

You know, I did do that a few years ago. Forgot about that. I may do that. Thanks :-)

I do have one kind of ragady looking tree out front. Don't usually do anything with it cause the branches are pretty weak.

That's a neat idea, but if I did that I would have broken Christmas balls all over the place. The cats would totally mess around with them. hah hah.

For a change from putting them in bowls, you could put some greenery in baskets and then lay the ornaments on top? I also like the idea of hanging them from garland as an accent.

Couple ideas:
*Fill vases with them

Here are a couple ideas I have seen:
Use thin ribbon and hang them in a staggered fashion from the ceiling or from a chandelier. Or even from the top of a window where you could see them outside!
I just found this idea recently in Good Housekeeping Mag.:
Make your own ornament ball chandelier. Purchase a photo mobile (if you haven't seen one, see pic below) and clip the ball ornaments on the clips. If you have the December issue of Good Housekeeping, it's on page 90.

Not sure if I can post the site where this can be purchased, but it's pretty affordable. PM me if you want the website!

I just thought of something! The photo mobile would be a cool way to display Christmas cards as well!

I found this idea in a magazine. Here's the link http://www.mymerrychristmas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10420
Another fun idea...is to buy some ice cream cake cones or sugar cones. Glue the bottom part of the bulb and placeon the top of cone. You can add a little glue on the top of the bulb and sprinkle it with sprinkles you use for cookies. These are a really cute ornament and a fun craft for kids.

like to hang ornaments on lighting fixtures if they have an area to tie a ribbon or place a hook.
I also like to pin them to the top of my curtain valances and if they are glass try pinning them to the top of a fabric shower curtain.

Another idea is to hang garland around a door or shelf/mantle and hang the bulbs on that.
