I gave my vote to the beach boys! I liked The Beatles because we used to sing their songs in chorus and I liked the Stones because I just liked their songs! Hate the Doors and never got into Hendrix. Elvis is ok but, I get sick of the way he sings in every single song so, he's not a favorite of mine. The rest were ok I guess.

Elvis is THE KING! Sure, the Sixties were mostly his movie years, but his 1968 comeback special makes it all worthwhile..!

Voted Beatles.
Their influences, along with George Martin, Paul, John and George, oh and Ringo. They took song writing and composing to another level.

I didn't vote because my favorite classy group was not listed.
"The Temptations", pure class and talent.

No one rocked the guitar like Jimi...although my mom swears he was high everytime he took the stage...(she would probably know...she went to college in the 60's...no way she's lil miss innocent!)

Wow! I somehow missed this thread.
I have to admit that I cheated a little. I looked at the poll results before voting. I feel a little sorry for the lack of love given to The Who, so I'm casting my vote for them. If I listen to any music nowadays from the people/groups listed, it's either The Who or Jimi, so one of those two were going to get my vote.
I realize that The Beatles and Stones influenced more people and made more impact on the music business in general, but I've never really cared for their music, personally. So, The Who is no longer getting shut-out.

That was a hard one I really love the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and the Beatles I also like Bob Dylan. But they all have some really good music.
