Who are your favorite classic movie couples?

I really like Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant, Doris Day and Rock Hudson, and Doris Day and James Garner.

A more modern flavor would be Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. You gotta love Joe vs the Volcano.....

Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in all those "Road" pictures.

If comedy teams can count as a couple ... Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello, Wheeler & Woolsey ...

As for traditional couples: Gloria Jean and Donald O'Connor; Alice Faye and Don Ameche ...

I may think of some more later!

I love William Powell and Myrna Loy in "The Thin Man' movies. Great chemistry.

Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn in the movie "Bringing Up Baby".

John Payne and Alice Faye in their musicals.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, perfect together.

Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson were wonderful together.

James Garner and Doris Day were perfect.

Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, a perfect teaming in their young lives.

Clark Cable and Vivien Leigh, absolute perfection in Gone With The Wind.

Bing Crosby and Marjorie Reynolds, a great match in Holiday Inn.

Van Johnson and Judy Garland, a joy to watch in movies together.

Jack Carson and Doris Day were perfect in their movies done together.

I could go on and on but I will stop now.
