You're right to not include Barney. Something ain't right with that boy. I believe Pee Wee Herman is in there.

Hi dvdguy,
Question on the Jack Frost movie which one are you referring too? There was a Rankin and Bass one and the one where Michael Keaton dies and becomes a snowman.
Here's some to add.
A Christmas Wish
Frosty Returns
Jack Frost
Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas
Nine Dog Christmas
Polar Express
The Little Drummer Boy

I tried again to watch that Mickey Mouse thing about being snowed in at the House of Mouse, or whatever, and had to fast forward through it. Just awful except for a few scenes. The Chip-n-Dale segment was pretty good.

Most of what I read about it wasn't good either so scratch that off my wish list.

Two of my favorites aren't listed "Noel" narrated by Charlton Heston - not the movie Noel. Also "The Christmas Gift" starring John Denver!

So dvdguy did you watch your Claymation Christmas yet? I've watched it twice now. I enjoy it more than ever now. Some of those skits are quite funny. I think the Christmas one is the best out of the trilogy. I've watched the Garfield one. All three of those are pretty good. Garfield is a crack up. candy cAndy CANdy CANDY!

Okay I'll shut up about it. Let me know what you think once you watch it. You never know whether someone is going to see things the same as you do.

Do you know the people I puppy sat for were at Disney World. I asked them to pick up a copy of Once Upon A Christmas and Disney didn't have it. They had Twice Upon A Christmas but not Once Upon A Christmas. What's up with that? I guess I'll have to order it off of Amazon.com.

I got my copy of Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas today. It's the one with he Kermit intro.

It's been so long since I've seen it that I didn't recognize the difference. I think I've only ever seen the HBO version anyway. That's the version that didn't have Kermit from what I've read. it didn't really matter to me. The bulk of the show is there.

Maybe someone can identify this movie I have been thinking about. I remember seeing it in the 80's and it starred Mickey Rooney as a Grandfather. The premise is a bit cloudy but it had an "Its a Wonderful Life" type of feel. Was that called "It came Upon a Midnight Clear".? Anyone?
:-o

Have you done a search on the movie? Perhaps a search on Mickey Rooney will come up with the name of the movie.

What about Rich Little's Christmas Carol, Freddy the Freeloaders' Christmas Dinner with Red Skelton and Vincent Price, Ziggy's Christmas Gift or A Family Circus Christmas. I remember watching these as a child. Here is a site you can visit if you know an actor and want to see what movies he/she's done: www.imdb.com. This site is awesome if you want to know what movies are coming out an dig up any dirt on who was in what.

I dont remember a family circus christmas, when was that?
It was released in 1979 and ran through the early 80's. It's where Jeffy keeps seeing Santa checking his list whenever Jeffy does something either good or bad. Jeffy also winds up finding the family Star that his Grandfather gave his Dad. Jeffy finds it with the help of his Grandfather's spirit.

Hey guys, i just joined today :P
I am so happy to have found this site. So first off thanks so much dvdguy for starting this. I have always wanted to do this. Thx to those who have also added on. I need help trying to fid out what cartoon this was. I saw it as a youngster so i'm thinking it was around 1978-1985 It featured a bearwho gets lost in the city(if i remember right) it also had a little girl involved and maybe a purple or green coat. Any help in solving this ould be greatly appreciated!!! :!! Not sure if you just wanted movies or if it could be specials, I remember watching the punky brewster christmas special and there was another one around that time but don't remember it.

I've got three to add to the master list!
#1 The Lion the witch and wardrobe!!!! It's got Father Christmas in it!
The next two are firm favs over here in the UK. They're both 30 min cartoons based on books by Raymond Briggs.
#2 The Snowman: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084701/ and the whole thing is at: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ponB8Hd_lG4 when I was at primary School (elementary) we always watched it on the morning of the last day of school before the Christmas holidays, still brings a tear to the eye :-)
#3 Father Christmas: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180691/ and in parts starting at: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FuZlRSbTFjg The story of what (the rather British!) Santa gets up to!
Enjoy

Check out one of the funniest Christmas movies I have ever seen--and it's one of my favorites--"The Ref" starring Judy Davis, Kevin Spacey, and Dennis Leary. Also, Christine Baranski shows up in a great comic turn. It is hilarious!:snowball:

Here are some more variations on the Christmas Carol:
A Diva's Christmas Carol starring Vanessa Williams
I love this one--Williams is a hoot!
Ebbie starring Susan Lucci
Pretty good also.
Ms. Scrooge starring Cicely Tyson
Slightly more obscure, but okay.
