We have had high winds today and they are suppose to die down by 5pm. We may also got a few snow flurries this morning and may get a few flurries this evening too.

For some reason we haven't gotten much snow...seems we miss it or its a mix of that ice crap. I'd like 2 big snowstorms every winter, but THATS it...no nuisance 2 inches or freezing rain and sleet crap...just 2 storms and the rest of the winter is like 35 and sunny.

I like the cold in Dec...I guess cause its the holiday season and it puts you in the mood...and a lil snow is nice...but when the holidays are over and you hit Jan and Feb the cold gets really old really fast :-)

17 inches of snow since Saturday. 100 car pile up on one major highway near Barrie, (on I think Tuesday) and another 70 car pile up yesterday near Woodstock. Many school buses cancelled twice this week, white out conditions. It stopped this morning but has started again. We are supposed to have another 3 inches by morning. The snow is due to continue until after the weekend. Really great for our winter festival which starts tomorrow!

We're going from 49º right now (feels like 42º) To 14º (feels like -5º) by 6 AM ~ that's quite a change!!! And all the snow is coming overnight again...I won't get to watch it!! Them weathermen were sure wrong about the 8-10" of snow we were supposed to get! :-( We've got ice & a dusting of snow. The ice is mostly slush now, but the schools are all closed. Unfortunately our school is out of weather days & now they have to make them up! The thermometer on my car this morning said 37º!

We've got thunderstorms coming through right now. Lights were flickering a few minutes ago, but we're good to go for now! Last night overnight we had some major thunder boomers come through. The lightening lit up our whole bedroom. Was crazy! My hubby said he was having really wierd dreams & all them thunder booms were bombs! YIKES!! Glad they didn't hit our house! :lol: It got up close to 60 today. Crazy weather for early February in Ohio!!! Where's the SNOW????? :snowball:

We are getting ready to ride out the storms that have torn up entire towns and killed folks in Arkansas, Mississippi & Tennessee. A member at Christmnas Talk rode it out in Arkansas earlier.

We expect the worst of these storms to pass through North Alabama between 1am & 3am, Central 02/06.

What an awful night! I've been up since 1:30 a.m. watching the weather on TV. Tornadoes were popping up everywhere last night. By the grace of God, we didn't have any tornado damage here. We had a couple of warnings, but no damage. We were lucky. Those that weren't as lucky are in my prayers.

School was cancelled because of the weather. The worst of the storm for us came through around the time bus drivers would be getting the buses ready for their routes. We sure didn't need anyone out in that weather. I'm glad they thought about the safety of the employees and students. This is what weather days are for.

Right now it is cloudy and warm. It is suppose to cool off some, but you never know with this strange weather.

Well, we only ended up getting maybe an inch of snow, but the roads nasty out there. It snowed overnight & this morning & then around lunch time it turned to freezing rain. We had freezing rain all afternoon & around 4:00 it switched back over to snow...big beautiful flakes & it's still snowing now. I just talked to my niece...who is sitting on I-75 waiting for a tow truck! She hit some slush & it pulled her around & she ended up in the medium! YIKES! No damage to her or her car or anyone else, so that's the main thing. :smile:
