Does anyone bake cookies ahead of time and freeze them until holiday time? if so, how do they hold up? and how far ahead of 'eating time' can they be frozen? and do some kinds freeze better than others? like sugar cookies- do they freeze well?:tree:

I asked a few days ago a Confectioner how long my self made Cookies are ok and she said, if I take care where I store them the are for several Month ok..
But this is just for dry Butter Cookies and Coconut Macaroons. not for them with frosting

My mom used to freeze sugar cookies (not frosted, but with colored sugar crystals on top), chocolate chip cookies, pinwheels, and other varieties for a few weeks. She just put them in big plastic containers in the freezer, and they were fine. I agree that as long as they don't have frosting or fillings, they'll freeze just fine for several weeks or more.
