View Full Version : How old were you?
No, not how old were you when you stopped believing in Santa. ;-)
How old were you when Santa stopped bringing presents?
I moved out of my parent’s home at 18. Santa left presents for me right up until the last Christmas I lived with my parents!

when I was eight, the note Santa left for me was in my mothers very distinctive, unmistakably unique handwriting. I looked my mom square in the eye and asked "Mommy....did you write this?" she sighed, looked down, and paused for a moment, then looked me back in the eyes and said, "Yes honey, I did." I smiled and shrugged. I didn't really care, because I always knew my mommy was Santa. She was a divorced parent who worked several jobs to put those presents under the tree, and knowing that made me appreciate her even more.

When I first read your reply, dvdguy, I thought you were calling her an SOB. Kinda bold. I'm up to speed now.
You gotta appreciate anyone, whether a single parent or even a two job couple, who goes the extra mile to make their kids' Christmas a happy time. One year my folks told me I wasn't adopted after all. It was a good year.

Well, your eyes couldn't adjust to the light anyway. They were thinking only of your well being.

Nope. In these days of constant reaffirmation, even Santa can't give out negative gifts.
