View Full Version : Outside decorating...for a fee!
There is a company advertising on the radio here for outside Christmas decorating. For a fee, they come out to your home design a lighting plan and set it all up for you. At the end of the season they come out and take down it all down and pack it all up for you.
So I am curious. Who here would pay for that service?

I would not but many landscape and lawn mowing services here do this and I know they keep quite busy doing so.

I would think the joy would be in the design and set up, not just the end result.

exactly, what person would not want the satisfaction of spending a half day on a 16ft extension ladder hanging 10,000 lights and then plugging them in and they don't work.

What! Deny myself the fun of untangling lights? Climbing up and down on the step ladder. Dropping my items that I need to hang up the light. But it's a joy, ((((((((smile)))))))))
Seriously I think if a person can afford this service it may save them time and stress so they can concentrate on other activities for Christmas.
A good service for the elderly and handicapped. (they should get discounts, yeah right) I live in my own little dream world.

When I was in NJ, we had a company come to our office and pitch this same service for our office. We didn't go for it because they charged an arm and a leg.
Half the beauty of a Christmas display is the love and creativity put into it.

just another niche service. If it means more people can enjoy the holidays then thats a good thing. Also saves me from having to do it fo my elderly neigbors. I'm not a happy camper on ladders.
