What do you guys think of this. I can't understand why this isnt getting a regular release

Looks like a test to me -- my guess they are thinking it can't break even with mass release so they're testing to see how it does in the on-demand channel.

I hope so. I really wanted a general release for this.
I dont want to order this & then see it in target next year.

The sad thing is they released Yogi the Easter bear which was just awful.
Maybe thats why they're doing this on demand

I have it on tape copied several years ago, also just saved to my Sky+ Box (Tivo) I would put it up there with some of the best TV Christmas Specials animation or otherwise
