K-Mart has their Halloween stuff up front, like it's on clearance already, and they have a whole huge Christmas section. Sweet!

ever notice that Wal Greens get some of the oddest and strange decorations...you can find things there that don't exsist anywhere else.

and dirt cheap, too. They sell Christmas Village knockoffs for about a buck each. If you squint it looks great!

Last weekend my Sears store was stocking shelves with pieces to the Department 56 "The Christmas Story" village. ... Of course, I was taking them off the selves just as fast as the clerk was unpacking them, LOL.
This set debuted last year, exclusively at Sears, and they were sold out before Halloween. I wasn't about to be skunked two years running!

purchased a vhs movie this morning called Black Christmas, looks like a horror flick. Also a tree stand that revolves, shud make the cats dizzy as they like to climb the Christmas tree

I was just reading a few days ago that Black Christmas was coming to theaters on Christmas Day. I guess it's a remake. How old is the movie you have?

I ran into Garden Ridge yesterday to replace a broken coffee mug my sis had picked up for me a few weeks back. I was amazed at all their Christmas stuff. I might be behind the times but this was the first time I had seen colored trees. I mean the needles on the trees were actually colored. They had red, blue, silver, gold...they were neat but yet scary!!

It feels like we're falling down a hill toward it right now. Tomorrow it will be a memory, but we'll all be here to keep the hope alive for 2007!

I take January-March to recover from the holiday, then, if I want to "get everything in" I have to start working on the next year in April each year.
The anticipation is the best part of the holiday and with time going by faster and faster for me each year....

Time is definitely moving faster.

Oh yeah, Garden Ridge!!! They've had those colored trees for a couple of years now, along with those "beautiful" fiber-optic wreaths and fiber-optic Santas, and . . .
They were bringing Christmas stuff out about three weeks ago. They usually have a lot of good stuff, and some not-so-good stuff. The prices are pretty good as well.

I'm still waiting for the fiber optic stuff to grow on me though the idea of not having to mess with lights and wires is nice.

That't why I bought a prelit. I don't know if I'm ready for fiber optic either.

I just got back from Garden Ridge, and now I see fiber-optic reindeer. Is nothing sacred anymore???
