when i made my last post a few minutes ago, i was stunned to discover that the next time i posted, it would be my 1000th post. i cant believe it!!! didnt i just join last week???? time flies when youre having a blast!
anyway, i just wanted to take a moment (1000th post seemed a good time) and thank you for providing a very diverse but like-minded group of holiday crazies a really great venue to share their lives. that isnt an easy thing to do!
so, HERE'S TO JEFF, and here's to ALL OF YOU who make my time here (far too much of it, i sometimes worry) a wonderful extension of an already pretty fabulous life!

At the rate you're going, Erv, you'll be there Oct. 26th. Yet more useless information brought to you by the sole source of ovis aries snot in the USA.

Wow. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to read this just now. 1000 posts...and look at Sheep -- nearly 2000! Over the years I've have contact with hundreds if not thousands of people through the website. A billion different dialogues. But nothing gives me more joy than seeing folks enjoy each other in the name of Christmas. It was that spirit of the season that caused folks to just blindly send me stuff as we sent out the first updates from the North Pole back in 1991. Just random wishes of Merry Christmas or memories or questions...or just fun banter.
For years I've tried to get the forums to take off thinking they would just because that has been my experience. Some years I've lost hope a little as posts would come and go. But this year is different. We're unstoppable now. And it is not because of anything I've done. You've all just shown up here in the natural order of things and Christmas has taken over.
And on a tough day like this one it is a warm thought before going to bed. I am profoundly grateful for this, Elfworks. Thank you.
Jeff

I can't thank you enough for providing me an outlet for my brand of weirdness until the white coats catch up. One of the peripheral benefits is that my English has improved as I read and reread posts. I ain't never talked so good. :)

:point: I'm also impressed with the movement of the merry forums - it seems more playful which is hard to accomplish in a forum that stems from a huge Christmas curious traffic website.
:nice: A little Christmas gathering spot becomes huge with a heap of Christmas chatter and wonderful personalities as unique as the gifts that we exchange at Christmas - the members keep us all coming back.
:???: This is a great place to share in the cheer and fellowship and the gift that is given is provided by the members. What a wonderful gift you have given to Jeff and to yourselves - ourselves! Merry soon to be Christmas!

:-) And Sheepsnot, I don't look good in white so if the coats come for me because my Christmas quirks get a wee bit out of hand - I'll only go willingly if the coats come in blue and silver or green and gold with a festive red bow.

Most state run facilities don't allow color. It makes people happy.

Put a piece of electrical tape over the odometer and just write. It's not about the mileage. What you have to say is waaaay more important that most of my drivel anyhow. 8)
