I've been back but installing Windows Vista on my machine....works good ( so far )

I've heard good things about Vista. It took me forever and a day to get used to XP, though, even viewing in "classic" style.

being a mac kinda gal, i am microsoft clueless about most things. is vista the latest os?

Vista be the newest Windows due out to the public in January. Big issue at the moment is the software and hardware folks need to update drivers for their products to work with Vista.
