A hurry up meal at McD. But, as I am a man with no standards, it was great. I had the Big-N-Tasty, or something like that. Lots of mayo.

Ok, so I didn't cook tonite. BF had a late lunch and didn't want anything but popcorn.

Chicken sauteed with onions, mushrooms and minced garlic, seasoned with parsley, a little bit of thyme, pepper and garlic salt. Mashed potatoes and corn on the side. Yea I cooked it! I love cooking. Me and my best guy friend/next door neighbor alternate cooking. Last night he made linguine with chicken. And they say college students only eat pizza and take out...

Here's a yummy pork chop recipe

thick pork chops
1 tbsp butter for each chop
1 tbsp brown sugar for each chop
3 shakes of low sodium soy sauce on each chop

Preheat oven to 350
Place chops in baking dish
Top each chop with 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 3 shakes soy sauce.
Cover with aluminum foil
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes

ENJOY!

I kinda cheated tonite and took the easy way out. We had chili cheese Hamburger Helper. BF had gone into the woods to check his deer feeder and lost his truck keys so we had to do a mad search for them. So it was defrost burger, mix all together and eat. And actually it wasn't that bad!

Ervserver
10-12-2006, 07:09 PM
deer feeder...is this to feed them and be nice or feed them and shoot them come huntin season?

Christy Carol
10-12-2006, 07:11 PM
uh.....depends.

What's your take on hunting? :D

Ervserver

I use to hunt, not against deer hunting, not a fan of Morning dove hunting though.

Christy Carol
10-12-2006, 07:18 PM
Cool! Its for hunting. Its that time of year in these parts again and I dont know what goes into rut more...the men or the deer.

Honestly, I hope they do thin them out some. I have been seeing them on the interstate every morning (dead and alive) and I am scared to death I am gonna hit one.

elfworks
10-12-2006, 07:22 PM
having lived in the texas hill country (aka deerland!) i was also paranoid about hitting one. then oneday a local told me the secret to hitting a deer. if it is inevitable that there is no way you can stop in time then speed up which lifts your front end and you will run over it as opposed to slamming on the breaks and hitting it anyway and it goes thru your windshield.

make sense?

Christy Carol
10-12-2006, 07:28 PM
it does but I hope I never have to try it!! LOL!

Honestly, if I was going fast enough..say like on the interstate, I dont know what I would do. I don't think there would be time to do anything. That is what scares me so much out there versus here on my old 2 lane country road.

They have gotten so bad here I startled one last night while I was walking. He was in an open field under a tree to my left and I didnt see him til he jumped and took off. Thank God he ran toward the woods and not me. I dont think I could speed up enough to raise my front end up!!

Only hunted deer one time. Didn't see any, which was a good thing because I would have had to lie rather than shoot one. Not in my heart, though I don't have any problem with the concept and probably would hunt if needed.

I think I will walk next door and see what kind of sandwhiches they have today. They have a huge cafeteria and they always have healthy stuff to eat since they are a huge insurance company. I forgot my lunch today and my stomach is chewing on my ribs.
