Hi all,

I'm from the UK now i take it this website is mainly US based people on here?

If so, are corporate Christmas parties big over there? i.e. Do businesses have a Christmas party every year?

Also, in towns and cities do you have big decoration displays and streets lined with christmas lights?

The reason I ask is because I work for organisations of such services and want to know about potential markets abroad.

Our Christmas decorations company Piggotts (http://www.piggotts.co.uk/xmas-index.htm) do the decoration lining popular areas in London like Oxford street.

Also we have a Christmas parties website that help arrange Christmas parties at a number of venues across London (http://www.christmasparties.co.uk)

So if you can help me with any information then fantastic!

Many thanks

Jazzy Jeff

Thanks guys. Why aren't you allowed to call them Christmas parties? Take its because of religious reasons?

And what does C.R.A.P. stand for?

You can call them anything you like so long as you don’t use the word “CHRISTmas”. I’ve heard everything from: “Holiday Party”, "Year End Party", “Winter Party”, “December Party”, even “Yule Party”, but calling them a Christmas Party is definitely out...

Funny. I have many Jewish friends we free exchange “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Hanukkah” greetings any no one is ever offended.

You should be; it's the new American way. I suggest litigation. Much better than tolerance.
