It was brought to my attention that some spam was sent via private messaging yesterday. I looked into it and sure enough about 50 of our members were sent the same PM.
I'm not sure if this was automatically done via a bot or if some enterprising individual thought it might actually be worth the time to send individual spam. (I hope this isn't the start of a new trend....)
Regardless, I have banned the offending member and will keep a close eye for such activity in the future. If you receive a PM from someone you don't know that contains links or commercial messaging please forward it to me (as a policy, we do NOT use our private messaging to communicate with our site membership -- we always use public forum areas).
We apologize for allowing this one to slip through the cracks.
