What di You do to help others get into the Christmas spirit: Here are some things I plan on doing this year:

1. December 1 - send out Merry Christmas Email
2. Wear Christmas colors everyday starting day after Thanksgiving
3. Listening to CMusic in the car and other places day after TGiving
4. helping charity organizations.

What do yall do?

One thing that always helped my parents get into the spirit was to put some bourbon in their eggnog.

If people don't feel like being festive, I don't push it. However, I'm always happy to assist in decorating. I think I'm doing three house's roof lights this year. It may only be two because my one friend's mother worries that I'm going to fall again.

It's easy for me to get into the spirit, but more difficult to get others in the mood. Helping people is as good a way as any, I suppose. If they are burdened with bills or family problems, a nice cheery greeting may just get you punched in the nose. "Feed them what they can eat." 8)

I think just by decorating & putting up the tree & listening to Christmas music puts most people I know in the spirit......I am pretty much in the spirit all year round...but more so this time of year!

The cold is enough to get me going. As soon as I have to grab the flannel shirts out of storage I'm looking for ornaments and other seasonal fun. I wish it would snow here... it seems it's been cold enough the last few days. I'm REALLY hoping for a white Christmas this year.

I cover my office from top to bottom with decorations, including a tree and snow village and blast Christmas music. If someone comes to my office they have no choice but to feel some sort of holiday spirit. I also say either Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to everyone I speak to.

I sing that song just about every day, sometimes all day. My folks were predicted to get 3 to 5 inches last night, but I think it fell through.

all you can do is to be who you are and do what you do. if they get the fever too, great! you cant make someone be festive.

I've learned that the hard way over the years. Worrying about those who don't care to celebrate will suck the fun right out of it for you.

I'd rather suck the egg out of a nog

Mine likes to think he is but watch him tear into a present and you know he is having a good time

It can be draining when your around people who have no spirit.

I find it also unenjoyable to be around those in a materialistic spirit

The night before last I had a friend over for dinner and we got to talking about plans for our last college Christmas celebration and I whipped out my laptop and let her listen to my Christmas music. While I was cleaning my kitchen, she was busy scrolling down my list of songs and listening to them. A few minutes later I fixed some peppermint tea and our other friend (and my next door neighbor) popped by! We all sat around drinking peppermint tea and listening to some of our favorite Christmas music, but then we turned on Monday night football...lol! But it certainly did get them into the Holiday spirit!

I think that if another person has it in them, the spirit is contagious. If not, they aren't going to bring me down.

People can have low spirits during the holidays for various reasons, I think I read once that suicides are highest over the holidays. Losing a loved one, a job, illness, etc can really be a burden. The greatest gift you can give a person in those situations doesn't even need to be purchased and wrapped. It's sharing your Christmas spirit and joy for the season.
