I was at the Turner Classic Movies site, yesterday and saw a link to the Starbucks website and they are advertising the DVD, White Christmas with the soundtrack CD, which according to the site, hasn't been available for decades. I want this! You can check out the info, http://www.hearmusic.com/#PRODUCT232, there. :???:

I'm not sure, the site was driving me nuts, as it shows a shopping cart, but I don't see how you can addy anything to the cart! :-?

I have the DVD, myself, but don't mind having an extra copy, as much as I watch mine, I could actually wear that puppy out! :D

That could be true. I'm a little surprised that with a set that's coming out this week, they won't let you add it to your cart...pre-order it, so you can have it the day it is released. Oh well, I can't afford it right now, anyway, but I'd love to get this. :D

I received my DVD, today, an early Christmas gift. :D It's a nice little package, the original DVD release, but housed in a new slip-cover by Turner Classic Movies and the CD is simply slipped into the slip-cover. A nice little booklet included that is, 'The Essential Holiday Viewing Guide' listing what TCM considers 'must-see' viewing for Christmas along with a listing if the film is being aired on TCM. I didn't realize this, but Rosemary Clooney wasn't part of the original soundtrack, as she was under contract with another record company, so Bing and Danny were joined on the original soundtrack by Trudy Stevens who did the voice-double for Vera-Ellen in the film and Peggy Lee replaced Clooney for the soundtrack. A smooth sounding soundtrack, but I kind of miss Clooney's voice.

You're right ... it's a combination of enjoying a great film and watching it again with youngsters who've never seen it before.
