Recently I caught one user with two IDs in a pretty elaborate scam for a run-of-the-mill spammer trying to fake a transaction between his two IDs. I'm guessing it was to convince others here to deal with him also. Since it seemed to me as if maybe a person or two were interested in buying what he had, I just want to put it out that these morons are out there. If it seems suspicious, leave it alone.

It just didn't seem right to me is all, so I checked his IP address and sure enough the two IDs were the same person. Scamming a Christmas forum is a sure way to get coal this year!!

Very good catch!! I was kinda wondering this morning when I read the latest posts. It seemed too scripted to me.

If it seems too good to be true.......

He's back already. The guy just posted twice in this thread. Be on the look-out.

Anyone trying to pull one over on a Christmas forum really needs to step back and take a look at themselves.

Better not tee off the Christmas fanatics around here by trying to mess with us. We are known to rove around in gangs with our blow mold candy canes for use as weapons!

Thanks Christy, I'm probably going to have nightmares of belligerent yellow orbs wielding candy canes tonight.

LOL!! I actually found that smiley after posting the comment!! It was too perfect not to use.

I figure my sis will get on here and bust me out on that comment too so I might as well fess up. Years ago my ex (note that I say ex) husband refused to help me mount some of my blow mold candy canes so I gave him a painless but firm whack with it to let him know my displeasure with him. So if this dude doesn't leave our board alone I might be forced to get my candy canes out and recruit others here!!!!

I got in a little of that today, too. That ring gear is ruined, so I just pulled the motor out for a later project.

Tht sounds like it would hurt. Anyhoo... What person would try to scam people who love Christmas and the holidays so much? Answer: A Scroogish IDIOT. SOrry... it isn;t nice to think about doing a scam much less acting on it.... I say SHAME ON YOU to whoever is pulling these tricks and they really should remember that karma will bite you in the butt...

Is that your dog's name? OK, I've seen My Name is Earl enough to know what you're talking about.
