Has anyone seen this? John Goodman lends his voice for Frosty and Jonathan Winters narrates. I watched it for the first time yesterday, and I could not have been more disappointed by it. The characters looked too much like they were trying to be the Peanuts gang, and the story had none of the magic of the original Rankin-Bass productions.

I am suprised yall haven't seen this. If I am not mistaken it comes on here every year. I was thinking CBS.

But I do agree that it lacks alot. Nothing will replace the original and its a shame they tried to make another one so many years later.

Yes. It was included on the same disc as the original Frosty.

I think there are a string of lesser known Frosty movies:

Frosty's Revenge
Frosty vs Wendy's: Frozen Assets
Bi-polar Frosty - The Meltdown

You may or may not. I personally have Frosty by itself on DVD, but my sister has the one with both. I borrowed it from her, and was glad I did. Prior to watching it I had actually planned on buying my own copy.

on Amazon you can get 1 dvd with the Original Television Christmas Classics (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer / Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town / Frosty the Snowman / Frosty Returns / The Little Drummer Boy) for around $22

Are you sure it's just one disc? I think that's what my sister has, and if I remember correctly it's on three discs and in very nice packaging if you care about that sort of thing. I have all of those mentioned except Frosty Returns (not going to lose any sleep over that) spread out on many discs.

Yep, that's the one. If I didn't already have all of what I wanted off of it, I'd buy one myself.
