We had the first salvo in the War on Christmas this week. And it was a dud. A US judge suspended any kind of activity in national forests until litigation could be resolved. This ruling appeared to put the National Christmas tree on blocks, so to speak, for the first time since that tradition began in 1923.
Alas, as the pro-Christmas crowd warmed up the judge came to his senses and approved cutting of the big tree. See this link:
