I have a hard enough time trying to convince my neighbors not to have me committed. Luckily, I have this more contemporary solution from Craftsman. Those are four LEDs in the bill.

As you can see, it gets used. Although for outside at night I prefer my two tripod mounted halogen flood lights. If you work close enough to them, they'll even warm you up. :D

There are two of them (at least there were); one $15 and one $20. If I were to buy another one I'd get the $15 one with two white LEDs. The two outside LEDs on the one I have (the $20) are red and almost useless. I was unaware of that at the time of purchase, and the switch with two throws (one for the reds and one for whites) is somewhat cumbersome if you have large hands like myself. Other than that it's a cool hat. By the way... do you actually have one of those hard hats?

I'll bet it puts my little LED cap's light pattern to shame!

It is very bright....this whole thing started when I was outside with a flashlight working on Kim's car in the dark. Then for Christmas I get this hard hat with a light. Was sort of a joke but I've found it to be quite handy

One time I diagnosed and replaced a faulty ingition control module and "refreshed" the distributor while I had it apart in a dark parking lot using only the light from the Mini Mag Lite in my mouth. That was one of those "d###, I'm good" moments for me. :D
