Subdivision bans christmas wreath

i really thought this was ridiculous and wanted your thoughts on it, i found this on a online article.

DENVER (Nov. 27) - "A homeowners association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan."

cant it just be a peace sign? not sure where the satan thing is coming from, but cant it just be peace on earth, good will toward men?

i think it's really stupid, it's just a peace/sign wreath. would they rather have her hang up a bomb in a wreath or something?

homeowners associations do have rules and if this breaks a rule then that is that. I'd never move into a neighborhood with rules I couldn't follow. The decoration is harmless to me and not offensive

I bet you can't find an actual rule in their rule book that it breaks. Someone is stretching a particular rule to their own liking. Surely they don't have a law stating that you can't openly wish for peace. They probably have a law stating that you can't put up political stuff and have warped this wreath into an anti-war protest just to get rid of it.

some people can be so petty! They probably think the peace sign is too tacky for their neighborhood so they've decided to cause a big fuss. I wish they would just grow up already...it's called FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION! At least in the USA.
