So who's still popping in amidst the most hectic (and joyful) time of the year? Who's going to be here tomorrow and/or the BIG day? Better yet, who's going to be popping in come a week after the big day?

I have been popping in all day and am a little disappointed by the lack of activity. I'll be doing the same most of the day tomorrow and on Christmas, if for no other reason than to keep the spam in check. Unfortunately that activity hasn't ceased. :-? I will definitely be sticking around after Christmas, as well.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and yours from Chicago.

I am here, will be here tomorrow and will be here Christmas (but probably early morning and later in the evening). I was wishing others would come back for the big countdown but I guess we still have time.

Oh and I will be here the week after...depressed as all get out but I will be here.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

What can we do to get people to come back? We have Christmas 2007 to plan for!! Dont just stop by and lurk...log in! We really miss you!

I've been checking the board regularly, but there really isn't any activity to speak of. Maybe it will pick up after people are done winding down from the holiday. If not, I guess we'll just have to wait until next October(ish).

Christy, how's your Grandfather doing?

Well maybe we need to stop talking about Christmas for awhile. I just miss seeing everyone. No wonder we all get the blues, just like with relatives that come in to visit...after the holidays everyone leaves.

Christy, how's your Grandfather doing?

Tony, he is doing WONDERFUL!! We had the best Christmas afternoon. He came home from rehab for the day, ate a HUGE lunch (which he has not done since the stroke), he is able to walk on his own and was in such a great mood that it was like someone had taken 20 years off of him. My sis silver bells called and couldn't believe what she heard over the phone. He did have to go back after supper and while he didnt want too he knew it was for the best and didnt fuss about it. If all keeps going well he will get to come home again over this weekend and then for good either the 2nd or 3rd. I have to say he was the best gift I got this year.

I try to stay up on things, but like devOn, I post when I can say something that will contribute to the thread, not just to post. I'm sticking around!

Huh, wha..? where am I?

Oh geez, I have been SUPER busy and havent been able to be around much. The new position that I was promoted to back in June has finally been developed and it is really kicking my rear. While I am loving my new responsibilities it has really taken over all my time at work and at home!

I brought my laptop in so that I.T. can fix it up so that I can login to work and work from home...might not be a good thing but its the only way I can keep my head above water!

Things will surely gonna slow down so I wont be gone forever! Gotta keep the Christmas spirit going all year long!! :-D

Since little sister is busy with work, I'll update everyone. Our grandfather got to come home for good on the 2nd. He is doing great, getting around well and eating. A huge improvement from before he went to the rehab center. We are so thankful that he's done so well and that we gonna have him around for a while longer. Thanks for all of your prayers!!

I've been a bit under the weather here lately and haven't even felt like getting out of bed. I get on once every couple of days but mostly I don't feel up to posting anything :( Hopefully, I'll feel better soon and will be back to posting everywhere

Hope you do get to feeling better. I think everyone around here has some sort of funk. Its the stupid weather, one day its winter...next its summer....next its monsoon!!

Thanks for all the comments about our grandfather! He is still doing great, eating alot better than he has since the stroke. He has been assigned a Veterans Admin. social worker to come in this week and evaluate what kind of home health services he might need. Unfortunately his sidekick and companion Flip (a mid sized mixed breed) got ran over shortly after he got home and he is very upset about that. Our younger sis and I gave him that dog almost 4 years ago so I am bound and determined to get him another buddy. A very lazy, loud barking dog is what I am searching for. I thinking a basset hound.

We have a Shih-Tzu. He was a runt and is only 15lbs. He sleeps most of the day and barks if he thinks someone is coming in the house.....if he's awake that is. He does get some energy to play fetch every so often, so I don't know if you are looking for that in a dog, but he does like to cuddle.

That wouldnt be bad as long as I can find an adult...I know as pups they can be a little hyper and we cant risked anything that would make him fall over by jumping on him. A lap dog would be a good idea because there are medical reports that show people who rub on a pooch during the day have lower resting blood pressures and have an overall feeling of calmness.

I know I haven't been on in awhile....I have been having some computer troubles and also been kinda busy with getting the house back together .....but hopefully I'll be able to be on more often.....hope everyone is doing good!
