After Christmas Sales

I went to the Dollar Store first thing this morning and picked up a lighted wire reindeer for $5 and a 2 6 ft spiral lighted trees for 7.50. I got a set of 4 lighted candy canes for $5.00. I also picked up one indoor Christmas and one outdoor Christmas door rugs for $2 each and 2 table runners for $2 each. I went back later and got some snowman figurines for 50 cents each and a Snow plaque for $1.00. Oh, also picked up some 18 foot garland for $1.00 each. I *think* that is all from there. One more thing...a BIG box of Elmers chocolates for $1.00. I might have to go back and get more of those. And before long what they have left will drop to 75% off!!

Then it was off to Walmart where I picked up 2 sets of multi-colored rope lights for $3.12 a set and 2 sets of multi-colored mesh lights for $3.62 each. I got 4 boxes of 100 count multi colored lights for 99 cents a box and 50 count for 49 cents. And for myselft I picked up a micro fleece plush throw for $3.87. And the best part of all this was I had a $25 gift card my boss gave me so I got to use it and still have money on it!!!

I didn't even get out today. I have a little cold, and it was cold and raining here today, so I thought it would be better to stay in.

I picked up some great stuff todaya nd I didnt even plan on it. A card type store here/gioft store..a lot like Hallmark and even carries their product, had eveyrthing 50% off today. So i got some great Xmas stuff. Even picked up the singing snowman/penguins witht he tree Hallmark had this year.

On boxing day I got 6 boxes of net lighting at only 2.54 and 8 boxes of the traditional 25 bulb white lights, for only 1.94 a box!. I'm so anxious for next November to put them all up and add to my light collection!

Dont you love the sales? I plan on going back this weekend just to look over the left - leftovers. The sales will be deep and I might see something I missed Monday due to the crowds. And I am still waiting on Dollar General to drop to 75% off!

If that was me, I'd be putting them up now, for new years lol. I've already seen some houses here that have put more up in the last couple days. I've put some stuff up too I got on boxing day, in the house!!!!!

Oh believe me, its crossed my mind, but we've been so busy and we're heading up to Montana skiing for the next couple days, so there no time. Plus, its freezing temps and snowing hard now so getting out would be very chilly.

I hit the motherload today!!!

I found 60 count LED lights, regularly $6.34 a box for $1.59 today!!! They were shoved way in the back at my walmart and I dug a box out to go price. They were marked $3.34 on the shelf, which was still too much for me but after scanning them and finding out they were that cheap I RAN back there and bought 20 boxes!! 10 are going north to Silver Bells so we are both set next year!!

The day after Christmas, the boyfriend and I went to WalMart only planning to get him anew tree and a couple of strands of lights. Well he bought the tree which was regullar $80 and he got it for $40. He splurged on the lights and bought 30 boxes! 15 strands of red and 15 strands of white (firefighter tree).

I bought a 2 foot Nutcracker for $7 - regular $14, some placemats, a few holiday rugs, some drinking glasses, a 1 foot tree, glass ornaments, new stockings, stocking holders, and a few strands of blue lights for my tree outside -- last post on this page--http://www.mymerrychristmas.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=26163&highlight=#26163

My Dollar General has marked all their Christmas 75% off so yesterday I stopped in and picked up a few bags full of stuff. Got bags and name tags for 25 cents each, got a 4 piece linen napkin set for 75 cents, got a 4 piece Christmas kitchen towel set for 1.00. Got a damask table runner for 87 cents, got a Santa Claus throw pillow for 2 bucks, was marked 8.00. All their Christmas cards are 50 cents a box so I am going back for more.

Oh, and I got these adorable soft, weighted bottom Santa, Mrs Claus and a snowman decorations for $1.25 each, were 5 bucks each during the season.

Ok, so I went back today! :lol:

I got 2 boxes of 16 each foil Christmas cards for 1 buck a box.
Got two stockings, Santa and a Snowman with puffy faces for 75 cents each
Two flower pots/candy bowls, one santa one snowman for 50 cents each, was 2.00
And a 12 inch fiber optic (table or tree top) Santa for 2.50, regularly 10.00. He is so pretty, dressed in silver and ice blue and holding a star and a present.
