For those of us that are still browsing but have nothing to respond to:
What occupies your free time when you're not preparing for Christmas?
Me? I spend a lot of time in the garage mostly working on assorted crafts, I have my '79 Malibu that I'm going through bit by bit, I enjoy recreational shooting (though I'm not very good at it), and I dabble in electronics. Oh, I also cook from time to time.

I'm a fan of anime and manga (Japanese cartoons and comics). I play DDR, even though I'm not very good, and I'm heavy into art. I like acting, singing, and dancing, along with photography, writing, and drawing. I also love to read.

I'm not much into Japanese but I do play DDR. I am actually really good at it but I'm not one of those people that are addicted to it. There are these people at the mall who will be on it all day. I can't imagine people doing that.
In my free time I watch a lot of TV and DVDs. I go to Bangor quite a bit and there is so much to do down there. I also go to Lincoln and there is some things to do down there too. There is a bunch of stuff in those two spots to occupy my time.

Just join an online quilt guild.
I like to read bios, mysteries etc. Love old old movies including silents on

I like dvd and elfworks way of thinking. They call me Lite, Miller Lite. :)
Lets see, what else do I like to do. Well I love to be outside. In the spring I like to garden and work in it til harvest time. Corn, okra, peas, tomatoes...all of it.
In the summer on Sundays we spend the entire day at our Redneck Riveria, our sandbar in the middle of the Arkansas River. I only live 2 miles from the river so we have very easy access. Fun, sun and water...what could be better?? We are known as the Redneck Yacht Club.
In the fall I like to sit on my porch swing and read, play with my two cats that like to lounge with me, rake leaves...the usual.
During the winter we go 4-wheeler riding alot, nothing like cold mud!! As you can see I dont like to sit much. I am not sure if you would call all this a hobby or not but it keeps me very busy and very happy.

I love films and my DVD collection is a big hobby of mine, these days. I love to add to it, when I can and I watch two-three DVDs a day. I love searching for hard-to-find films and researching them. I also collect original films posters and lobby cards as well as sci-fi/horror themed figures and such. When I was still able to, I loved playing sports, especially softball, but I wasn't above tossing a football to my brothers.
I'm not big into cooking, but will bake and love collecting cookbooks, of all things!
I love watching college football, the NFL and NHL on TV, listening to classic 50s/60s tunes and reading.

I don't really have anything that I'd call a hobby but I've started teaching myself how to play the keyboard (something I've always wanted to do since I was tiny). I love my car to bits and enjoy driving around, taking pictures and things. So, yeah, I like taking photos (not very good at it though and I could do with a better camera). I like reading, surfing the web, watching (and buying) DVD's. Umm that's all I can think of right now.

I love to dance (took ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe for 16 years) and I am also into cross stitching. From February to November every Sunday is race day for me! I go to the two races at Talladega every year. GO TONY STEWART!!

I used to be heavy into NASCAR. It seems that it's been on a down hill spiral since about when FOX and NBC took over. I can't really say anything good about the changes that have been taking place since then. In the past three years I went from never missing a race to having not seen one all season.
It's not the most macho thing in the world, but I'm also pretty good at cross-stitching. I've actually gotten pretty good at sewing in general. It is a skill that has served me well.

Hey Elfworks what kind of wine do you like to drink. I also like to taste different wines. I'm slowly becoming somewhat of a wine connoisseur.

Hey it cleans the pallet and makes food taste better. It's also good for the digestive system. Sticks and stones may break my bones. :D

Oh no, HN7, you took that totally wrong!! I was just cracking a joke since I am a beer drinker! But I do like wine myself, it just gives me a screaming headache so I dont drink it often. I prefer the reds, my fave is Merlot.

Some things I like to do is coaching my sons in Football, Hockey and Baseball. I also love to golf.
Music is also a big part of my life. I used to be in radio, and love to mix songs together on the computer, and loading songs onto my computer. I also love movies. I have this knack for knowing quite a bit about music and movies...ie trivia about them.
I also like to putz around my garage...even though it's so small. I'm always looking for a better way to arrange things in it so I can get more decorations in it.

I live in Talladega, so I have to be a fan of NASCAR. LOL!! I am also a huge fan of football. I like Alabama Crimson Tide and NFL. My favorite sport, though, is baseball. I will watch baseball anytime and any team. The Braves are my favorite.
Besides sports, I like to cross-stitch and crochet. I don't get to do much of these any more because I am always running around after my children. I also like to make cakes for my children and nephews and neices. I like to decorate them and/or do cut-up designs.

Christy I knew you were joking. I knew dvdguy was joking. I didn't take it personally. I was joking along with you. Sticks and stones was typed tongue in cheek or at least the thought was. Sometimes typing something never comes out the way you meant it because you can't hear the thought or expression behind it.
