Today, while undecorating, I watched "Santa Clause conquers the Martians". Have you ever watched this cult classic? It is so bad that it's good. Who can resist those adorable green martians?????

What do you watch when you are undecorating?

I have never heard of that movie. Just the title makes me giggle. 8-)

I watched football games while I undecorated this year.

Ok, here's what this little gem of a movie is about.

The martian children are restless. The leader goes to their wise man and he tells them that the same thing happens to earth children because they are looking forward to Santa Claus visiting. Sooooo...the martians decide to go to earth and capture Santa. Along the way, they also capture two earth children. The martians originally want to keep Santa, but the leader decides he can go home because one of the martians makes a good Santa and will do it for them. While deciding this, the bad martian puts Santa and the earth children in a space lock and tries to kill them by releasing them into outer space....but since Santa can shrink himself to get down chimneys, he and the children get away via an air duct. The martian leader's children and the earth children shoot bubbles, and ping pong balls at the bad guy and save Santa. The martians release Santa in time for Christmas....THE END.

That's the readers digest condensed version. You have to see the "martian" make up job and clothing. If you think the original Star Trek was a trip....you will LOVE this movie.

I've never even heard of that movie but since it takes forever to take all of the ornaments off of the tree and rewrap all of them and then pack them away, I'm afraid that I can't pay attention to anything else. Maybe it would be something good to watch after the tree comes down.

I still can't believe here, of all places, has people taking decorations down already lol. Still got new years eve to come tomorrow. My mall still has the decorations a carols going even. Even still boxing week sales and still out looking at xmas lights!

When the un-decorating approaches however, I'll prob watch Xmas Vacations, Frosty, Pee-Wee's Xmas, Home Alone and/or Rudolph. Who knows, all fun good ones I think.

Well it looks like the Grinch hit my house. All he left was hooks and some wire. http://www.everwonder.com/david/grinch/smiles.gif

I took my decorations down today. It's very sad. I put Christmas music on while I was taking them down. I took the extra time to make sure all lights worked and marked them as such before putting them away. I was more organized in my repacking this year.

The tree went outside yesterday and I removed all the lights and packed them up carefully. Now starts the cleaning...

I still have the tree up right now. If your tree is real, then I know why you took it down. Is you guy's trees real or artificial?

Mine is artificial. I've had it for 4 years now. I can't believe this was my fourth Christmas in Florida.

Mine was real and for some reason it died the Thursday before Christmas. I have never had that problem before and it really disappointed me. My tree was 8 foot and huge but yesterday when we took it out it was only around 6 foot. It had gotten as low as it could. Poor little tree.

Christy Carol that's a bummer. I have to pat my sister on the back this year. If you look back in earlier posts I stated that she takes her tree down Christmas day Well this year she actually kept it up until New Years. I think most of that is in part because her Fiance took good care of the tree and made sure it got watered. Oh yea by the way she got engaged for Christmas. Her username is Littlewing and she got engaged to TREX who is also a member here.

My real tree also stopped drinking early so it was all wilted and droopy way before it should have. I usually leave mine up til New Years but not this year. I am actually thinking about buying a new artificial one for next year. I would like to find a nice artificial one with multicolored lights. I've got lots of time to find one!

It's artificial for me. It's three parts prelit and no mess.

Mine stopped drinking too. I watered it every day and did everything right. We even cut it ourselves so I know it was fresh. I turned the heater vent off so there was not constant heat on it (like it was cold enough here to run the heater anyway) and BF made sure it never did sap over the trunk but it died anyway. But boy it was pretty when it was alive!!!

That's a shame. Sorry I'm a artificial girl.

in israel we don't have any real trees, so everyone has artifical trees and garland, and that's why people here (at least in my city) usually leave their christmas decor up until february 1st or so.
and we don't get bored of it cos we don't decorate before december 10th 8)
