You cant sit and dwell on it...you are wishing your life away for Christmas!

Find other things to keep Christmas close to your heart. Now that the weather is warming up, start going to flea markets/yard sales and start stocking up on decorations for this Christmas. It is amazing what you will find and as you are putting it away until Christmas remember how excited you are going to be to pull it back out again come November.

Do some spring cleaning and start deciding on what and where you are gonna put up stuff this year. Do you have a theme? If you do, it is never too soon to start working on it.

Update your Christmas card list. Look back over your old cards for ideas on what you want to write to family and friends. Also, start keeping a small journal of what is going on in your life so you can include it in your Christmas newsletter if you do one.

Start working on your Christmas shopping list now. Hear someone mention something that they might like, jot it down. Ya never know...they might still be wanting/needing it come Christmas time.

We have other holidays to look forward too and you can always decorate for them. Easter is a wonderful holiday and it reminds us of new life and a new beginning. Take a walk and enjoy the weather and listen to the birds sing their Spring hello!!

But if you sit and stay depressed and not do anything else but dwell on it, it will never come. Learn to enjoy each and every day just as much as you do Christmas and the spirit of the season will never leave you.

I seriously disagree. I've got Christmas coming out of my ears and Christmas 2007 is going to be huge. Just watch.

Oh, boy; Oh, boy; Oh, boy! I can't wait to see what's coming up! :???:

Can you give us a little hint, Jeff?

There might be a short time right after Christmas where I have to take a tiny hiatus, but for the most part, I look forward to Christmas all year long. I may not think about Christmas all day long, but I do think about Christmas a little bit every day.

This is the first year that I've had anything at all to do with Christmas after January. In years past I preferred to kind of forget about it until around September when I start looking forward to fall, the cooler weather, and preparing for Christmas. In doing that, the season seems more special to me when it finally arrives. I'll be here year-round, though.

I haven't to admit I haven't been occupied with Christmas much lately. I have other things going on right now. It's probably for the best otherwise I just make myself nuts. I just had surgery today. Now I can't sleep.

Surgery? Hope you're ok!

Sometimes I wish for like 8 feet of snow or even a really bad cold so I can stay home and work on Christmas here more. I have so many thoughts in my head, I could do it 24 hours a day.

Too bad we have to eat.

Wow Jeff I think you should stay home. It sounds to me like you have Christmas fever.

The Christmas spirit never fades from my daily life. I used to experience moments of sadness after Christmas or prior to, but not since College. I think participating in Christmas forums helps keep it active.
I have many other interests and new exciting challenges in my life these days, but I don't think a day passes when I haven't thought about Christmas at least twice in the day.
I can be working out and somehow be reminded of Christmas. There are smells, sights, sounds and memories that spark Christmas thoughts on an ongoing basis.

I enjoy the Spring and Fall seasons the most because I love the colours. I don't care for winter anymore, but I love having snow at Christmas.

Now is the time when I shop for Christmas presents or if I feel like getting a boost of Christmas cheer, I toss on a CD or a Christmas video or I'll make up new Christmas songs based on lyrics to other songs (not at all Christmassy) and I'm also working on a Christmas book so it all helps me keep Christmas close to my heart.

 Consider hosting a Christmas in July party and have some turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy, whip up an apple or pumpkin pie or your favourite Christmas cookie recipe and enjoy yourself!
