I always keep it close in thought so I can grab gifts and decorations and such. But I never let it stop me from enjoying the rest of the year. Right now I am looking forward to vacation next week and the 4th after that.
But I will admit I did listen to Christmas music today. It was so hot I needed something to cool me off! :snowball:

Actually around this time I get excited, I'm not sure why, it's like every June/July, I start watching Christmas specials and movies, and planning on what to do when November and December hit.

Christmastime....... Although I am currently in planning mode for my wedding in September I am also planning all the Christmasy stuff for this year RIGHT NOW. As I posted last year I always get my stuff done early and try to get done so I might have a lil break before becoming the person who gets everyone else in gear. I won;t have to do that this year since we are not going up north to see my family for the holidays. I love the month of July because they have some channels on TV that show Christmas movies- I also like to watch QVC for their Christmas in July shows- I do not order anything Just love to watch and find out what will be the new "in" thing for the holiday season. I have given up on Halloween mostly because my tree is up 2 to 3 days before October 31st, yes I am a nut for doing it early but if I had my way it would stay up year around. I might not be able to do that this year since we now have a 4 year old hyper as can be husky. Also have 2 cats- 1 of which likes to wrestle with the dog. The story of David and Goliath from the Bible is reenacted out in my living room everyday- only with out the slingshot. He is a very patient dog though, he has not hurt the cat yet and I doubt he ever will, but you let someone come in here and mess with his kitty and he will growl and snarl at them- that is HIS kitty. So to answer your question: CHRISTMAS

Well, I always am excited for Christmas, but when I really start feeling it is about a month after school is back in. Around the end of September/Early October, I start getting really excited and actually start shopping and planning for the holidays. Also, the first night that it gets below freezing is also a clear indication that Christmas is on it's way! :D

I think I'm excited about Christmas all year around. When I put the excess of Christmas stuff away, I start planning for the next one. The traditionalist side of me says to wait til the day after Thanksgiving. The child in me says all year around. I love the middle of the year (July 25), so I can start making the days/months off til Christmas. But I get ideas for what I want to do around the house decoration wise, but it's just me doing the decorating. But I have a ball doing it. I find I relax more when decorating for Christmas.

Like most of us here, I'm excited about Christmas year-round, but it's usually around mid-September that I start getting "really" excited. Then, once Halloween has passed, then it's full on Christmas season for me!

I also keep Christmas close to my heart all year round, but I really start getting in the spirit & thinking/talking about Christmas & longing to watch Christmas movies/specials towards the end of June & in July! I don't think there is a day that goes by in a year that I don't have at least one thought of Christmas, but I think about it more from July on. If I flip on the tv & find a Christmas special on anytime of the year, I get really excited - and my hubby shakes his head & rolls his eyes! Bah Humbug!

I generally think about all year long. Sometimes when my children get into my car and see that I am listening to Christmas Music they get a kick out of that. But it really kicks in for me in the early part of Nov. or the end of Oct.

Pretty much all year! hehe, I love christmastime, I've been burning Cd's & making decorations & whatnot, deciding on gifts for people, the whole package is just so much fun, it's 100% of a season & it get's 100% of my attention, unfortunately not 100% of the time though, but if it could it would!
I'm always looking for new crafts, gift ideas and recipes for Christmas. I'm just about ready to go into full on "psycho mode" now.

Like most here, I stay in the thinking and planning mode all year long.
However my excitement ramps up gradually.
* In July I buckle down and work on the outdoor decorations while listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas videos.
* In August, I start collecting school supplies and toys for my Operation Christmas Child boxes.
* By September I'm in full-blown Christmas mode, busy with wrapping packages, getting Christmas items boxed up for my troops (they need to get the items, like cards, in time to fill out and mail home).
* Peak excitement starts in October when I stop trying to hide it. By mid-October I'm dragging out the decorations, finalizing the outdoor display, mailing the troop boxes (with Christmas decorations- not their presents), and such.
* The BIGGEST thrill starter for me, though, is watching Rockefeller Center put up their tree. Once Veteran's Day comes along and there's a huge evergreen in such a high-profile location, you can't help but feel like the rest of the world has finally caught up to you!

I'm always excited about christmas..
It usually starts kicking in about July.
For the last like 5 years, I always get excited about christmas
around July because that's when QVC starts showcasing their christmas products and
it just gives me that holiday feeling.
I'm listening to christmas music now!
I can't wait until November!
That's when I'm really feeling christmasy!

usually in the summer I start getting in the mood for the holiday season, but the first frost is always really exciting and christmas-y and then I just go crazy then. Although I'm pretty crazy right about now. cheesy Or when it starts becoming cold enough outside that you can't go out without a jacket. feeling that cold air the instant I step out the door always makes me feel festive, also when it starts getting darker earlier around 5 or 6.

I also think about Christmas and 'keep it in my heart' all year round. But it's around this time of year that I start feeling really excited because it's the start of autumn, the leaves start changing, and I start looking forward to cooler evenings, the nights drawing in, hot chocolate and halloween ... and then the build up to Christmas! I love this time of year *big smile*
