Ive been kickin around an idea. I need opinions on feasibility & maybe tinkering with it. I was wondering if anybody would enjoy doing a mail type thing, where we would send around things we enjoy so others can add to it & send it along. For Instance i could send one of my christmas carol cds to one person, that person could send something with my cd to someone else & so on.
Possible or no?

That seems like a cool idea!
I think some sort of homemade Christmas ornament exchange would be neat cheesy

we did do that last year, which we can do again this year. I was thinking more along the lines of sending something along & each person checks it out, then adds something they like & so on

Unfortunately, it would get kind of pricey with shipping, especially as it went on and it accumulated... not to mention how far apart some of us are.

i thought keeping it to discs might ease the burden, but maybe not

That wouldn't cost so much... at all.
Some kind of Christmas music cd swap does sound REALLY cool though...
But some folks may not be able to burn cd's though...

maybe a cd swap? I send one to dom, he sends one to EW, she sends one to Jeff, he sends one to Jingle, she sends one to me? not that exactly but like that

great idea, however, i was a member of a board, older and with more longtime members and we did a kind of round robin thing a few years ago that totally imploded. it was a horror. not to be a wet blanket, but bear in mind that some people have trouble with follow-thru......

That's another problem. Don't we have a few swap participants that still haven't received their ornaments from last year?

EW... the thought never crossed my mind about the follow thru thing...
But, your right... for instance, I joined 2 card exchanges last year, and sent out WAY more that I got back...

Me too. It was a lot of work to organise as well. Not being a wet blanket mind you! Shame too. I love opening Christmas cards.

I sent out about 70 of them. I got about 40... I loved it, though. I had a great time opening them and adding them to my little display....

I like getting cards more than gifts to be honest. They make great decorations too! :rudolph:

For real! I put a LOT of time and effort into it... I wrote a small hello/merry Christmas in each, signed them and hand addressed each one - no printed labels!
I don't know what I was thinking... :?
This year I'm only joining ONE card exchange!!
