If Stallone can make another Rocky, Willis can make another Die Hard, then surely Ford can cash in on the geriatric Thriller.

dominick

You know, I tried to think of something funny, but nothing can top what they're actually producing. Seriously, a sixth Rocky?? He's over 60!
dvdguy
06-22-2007, 08:52 PM

dominick
06-22-2007, 09:58 PM
He's 64 years old. Born and raised in these parts as I understand it. I believe Paul McCartney turned 64 this year as well...

dvdguy
06-23-2007, 06:26 AM
yes
dominick
06-23-2007, 08:52 AM
It only came to my attention because we decided to watch it last night. You have no idea how excited we were when they re-released it on DVD.

We saw the new Rocky movie last week and surprisingly, it wasn't bad at all. Hubby is a huge Indiana Jones fan so I suppose we'll have to see this latest outing. Not sure what to make of the trailers for Diehard 4.0. I assume the 0 in 4.0 is to make it sound cool. Rather than, "oh no, not again"! I like Bruce Willis, so I may see it anyway.
If you can get it over there, I can highly recommend Hot Fuzz, by the same guys who did Shaun of the Dead. Brit humour is a bit different, but these guys are very enjoyable. cheesy
dominick
06-23-2007, 09:48 AM
Hot Fuzz has been out for awhile over here. As for Balboa, I saw the first half hour of it and decided to shut it off. Maybe I should give it another chance, but I don't think I will.

Not as well as Flying Circus. But Cleese can carry a show on his own, no question.

yes well im a geezer at 33:snowball:
I'm 33 too dvdguy... but NOT a geezer!!
I loved Shaun of the dead, but my husband thought it was stupid. I don't think he gets the subtle humor type movies... I never saw Hot Fuzz because my little towns movie theatre only plays the stupid movies that come out. I miss so many good flicks....
dominick
06-23-2007, 11:42 AM
That's why God invented the DVD.

Jinglebelle
06-23-2007, 11:54 AM

dominick
06-23-2007, 12:09 PM
Somehow Mike doesn't seem like the bell bottom type...

Jinglebelle
06-23-2007, 12:17 PM
Well in 79, I was 6 and had these green polyester bell bottoms, that got stuck in the wheels of my bike. I wrecked so bad that I got a nasty black eye. Of course it was a few days before my 1st grade school year, and I had to go with that black eye. I'll never forgive polyester... or bell bottoms!!

'79 ______________ (fill in the blank)
dominick
06-23-2007, 04:24 PM
Are you asking what my car is? It's a '79 Chevy Malibu. I've kind of lost interest in the restoration, but I still love it.
Jinglebelle
06-23-2007, 04:36 PM

dominick
06-24-2007, 02:54 AM
Like I said, it's possible. The car really isn't what I'd consider photogenic, though.
