dvdguy
06-24-2007, 07:48 AM
yeah, he probably burns those off scootin up & down chimneys

dominick
06-24-2007, 08:00 AM
Yeah, but the fruit cake will definitely stay with him awhile.

dvdguy
06-24-2007, 08:07 AM
i wonder if he gives fruitcake when he runs out of coal?

dominick
06-24-2007, 08:08 AM
I think it would weigh down the sleigh too much.

dvdguy
06-24-2007, 08:17 AM
yes several million fruitcakes WOULD put a cramp in delivering toys

dominick
06-24-2007, 08:56 AM
It would make getting back up the chimney kind of difficult, too.

I'll ask the North Pole guys but if I had to guess it would be early in the day...Pacific time USA, that is.

If I had to guess, I'd say he's got some long johns on under that suit.

Now here's a question: doesn't all that clothing get hot when he gets closer to the equator?

That'll be eight hours behind me then. Thanks!

Santa and space are two words that I don't often associate with each other.

I happen to know that NASA are most accomodating of The Big Red Elf. After all, even rocket scientists like a little summit in their Christmas stocking.

The way I hear it, NASA is the one getting help from the big man.

what is Santa's meal after delivering all those presents

Hi dvdguy (Mikey!!!)

This past year Mrs. Claus made a wonderful meal for me -- as you recall, she joined me in the sleigh as I headed back to Hawaii so she packed a meal of hot chicken soup, fresh turkey sandwiches, a wonderful salad with a cranberry vinagret, and a thermos full of delicious apple cider (I was a little burnt out on milk but this point). We topped it off with some roasted chestnuts.

Not everything at Christmas is a tradition for me. In fact, the post-delivery meal is usually a surprise...and that's the tradition.

No, not at all. Mrs. Claus lined it in satin for me, you see. I love putting it on in the dark because it makes sparks when I put my pants on. There's something very manly about that, don't you think?

Boxers, Tony, my boy...always boxers. Remember that line from "Miracle on 34th Street" where Fred asks Mr. Kringle if he sleeps with his whiskers in or out?

That's kind of the same reason why I wear the boxers.

Heaven's no. I don't do coal any more. Things have become so politically correct, you know. It would cost me too many carbon offsets. These days I'm prone to handout broccoli.

Why all this disrespect for fruitcake, boys?

I can tell you've never had a decent fruitcake. You ought to have those fine women in your life make one for you. The best ones are always home made.

Hi Merry,

I am really sorry about not being specific about when I would be on the forums today. I hope I can make it up to you. I plan to be around online for the next couple of days quite a bit. I'm guessing you might be on in another 7 or 8 hours or so.

I'll check in then.

Or, if you want, post me a question and I'll be sure to catch it tomorrow.

Yep, absolutely. But I insist that the reindeer keep themselves clothed, no matter how hot they get.

Well, you're right, Merry. I have methods but I cannot talk about all of them. This is one of those things. The equator is NOTHING compared to sitting in a suit in a mall all day talking with the kiddies. Now THAT gets hot.

Hi Santa. I'm sorry I wasn't able to pop in to say hello. You deal with time differences so much better than I can. cheesy

Thanks for the info on cooling systems! I'm looking forward to watching your progress around the Earth again this Christmas Eve.

Long may you fly! :notice:

My little girl, Morgan, was wondering how you got your bag of toys down the chimney. I told her I'd ask.
