Today, the man who came up with the idea to make us believe a man --- not to mention, a girl --- AND a reindeer --- could fly turns 60 years old!
Born July 27th, 1947, Ilya Juan Salkind Dominguez (http://www.ilyasalkindcompany.com), to give him his full name, was, of course, the man who came up with the idea that blossomed into Superman: The Movie (http://www.supermancinema.co.uk) --- and, of course, using his brain, his dreams, and a little bit of that ol' Christmas magic, came up with a little something called Santa Claus: The Movie. As you know, Ilya gave yours truly the best birthday present ever when he called me up last year; I've already e-mailed him in return this year.
