This was my girlfriend's grandparents'. It's just one of those decorations that seem to define Christmas past for her, and her grandma wanted to give it to her for her birthday. Unfortunately, it had been years since the little guy marched along ringing his bell.
There was a lot of corrosion and some very brittle wire, but with a little bit of solder and a few burns later he had new life. My girlfriend was thrilled, and now we have a cool new piece with some history to add to our collection.
The faint of heart might want to look away.
